President Biden is wasting no time bringing fairness and equality back to our immigration policies. One area where this is evident is Enforcement and Removal (Deportation). See below link to a Memo issued by DHS yesterday on these issues which “pauses” certain Removal Hearings for 90 days. The Memo also reviews and outlines what immigration issues the DHS are studying to revise with respect to these policies, across the board. Clearly, anyone who has a scheduled removal hearing must check with their immigration court to see if the proceeding has been postponed, as this Memo should not be relied on as a reason not to appear at a scheduled hearing.
